This is a great listing of women writers who made excellent contributions but yet remain under-appreciated. I think I’ll start with Gina Berriault. It looks like her collection Stolen Pleasures is available.
My fav part of this article “COUNTERPOINT: ‘Chink in the Armor’ Editor’s Apology Is Selfish, Manipulative” written by Captain Caveman (yup) is the sarcastic: “Hey everybody, sorry about saying ‘faggot,’ but I did rescue a litter of kittens from the kill shelter last year!”

Emily Dickinson poem: ‘Faith is a fine Invention/ For Gentleman Who See/ But Microscopes are Prudent/ In an Emergency.”
Good to be aware, in fact, probably a good thing for me to think about when walking in my front yard. -Nici
Mountain lion sightings have increased in Santa Cruz. Here are some suggestions from California Fish and Game… DO NOT HIKE ALONE. Make plenty of noise to reduce your chances of surprising a lion. Go in groups, with adults supervising children. A sturdy walking stick is a good idea: you can use it…
I saw this musician at the Balcony Music Cub in New Orleans. The video clip doesn’t have the greatest sound quality and you can find other examples of his great playing, but listening to him play Low Rider on the harmonica really is worth the time.
